Russian Forces Launched 36 Attacks in the Pokrovsk Direction: Frontline Situation

Since the beginning of the current day, there have been 107 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian troops along the line of contact. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army has conducted 4,439 shellings of populated areas and the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

Intensity of Combat Operations in Key Directions

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian units repelled 15 enemy attacks. Two clashes are still ongoing. In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the Russian army made seven attempts to break through near Vovchansk, Stroiivka, and Fiholivka, with one battle remaining unresolved.

Ukrainian forces also successfully repelled Russian assaults in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Siversk, and Kramatorsk directions. In the Toretsk direction, 13 enemy attacks were recorded, with one confrontation still ongoing.

Escalation in the Pokrovsk Direction

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops have shown particular activity, launching 36 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance near the settlements of Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Myrne, Promin, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Muravka, and Oleksiivka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

Combat operations also continue in the Novopavlivsk direction, where another battle is ongoing.

The Pokrovsk direction in Donetsk remains one of the hottest spots on the front. Over the past year, the highest number of combat engagements has been recorded here.

According to data released in May, Russia has intensified its offensive in several areas of Donbas with the aim of encircling Kostiantynivka, which is an important railway hub and a stronghold of Ukrainian defense.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported at the end of June that the Defense Forces of Ukraine have stabilized the situation on the border of Sumy region and in the border areas of Kursk region in Russia.
