Vadym Honcharenko: Path to the International Arena
Particular attention has been drawn to Vadym Honcharenko, a student at the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture and a veteran. In 2025, he achieved several sports milestones: he became the champion of Ukraine in para-arm wrestling and represented the country at the European Championship. His active participation in various sports disciplines, including Spartan Race, marathons, rugby competitions, and CrossFit, has earned him recognition among veterans.
In November, Vadym won the strongman competition among military personnel and veterans “Victory of the Unconquered,” where he took first place in several strength categories. The end of the year was marked by new prize placements in rowing, powerlifting, and strongman multi-event competitions.

Ukraine on the Path to the Warrior Games
The international Air Force and Marine Corps Trials serve as a qualifying stage for the prestigious Warrior Games, which annually bring together military personnel and veterans from around the world in the USA. The formation and preparation of the Ukrainian team are supported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in collaboration with the “Come Back Alive” initiative center. Thanks to this cooperation, Ukrainian veterans have the opportunity to represent their country with dignity on the global sports stage.
