A Large-Scale Concert with World Stars
On June 24 at 18:00, nearly one hundred musicians will gather on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine to present a unique program under the direction of the renowned Canadian conductor Kerry-Lynn Wilson. She is the principal conductor of “Kyivska Kamerata” and the founder of the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, which has actively represented Ukrainian art on the best stages in Europe and the USA since 2022.
The Program Features Classical and Contemporary Ukrainian Music
Audiences will be able to enjoy Symphony No. 5 by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, known for its depth and emotionality, particularly the famous Adagietto movement. Additionally, the concert will feature the Violin Concerto No. 4 by Myroslav Skoryk, performed by Shevchenko Prize laureate Bohdana Pivnenko — one of the most poignant works by the outstanding Ukrainian composer. It is known that Bohdana Pivnenko has repeatedly performed alongside Maestro Skoryk, demonstrating her exceptional skill in his compositions.
The event will bring together nearly 100 musicians on one stage to create an impressive symphonic sound. This concert promises to be not only an artistic culmination of the season but also an inspired musical ode to unity, strength, and the indomitable spirit of Ukrainian culture.
The organizers emphasize that this grand season finale will be a true musical event that unites talented artists and highlights the unity of Ukrainian art even in challenging times. The concert promises to leave a special impression on all fans of symphonic music and contemporary Ukrainian culture.
