Four veterans from Ukraine and four military personnel from the Netherlands, who participated in the 2000-kilometer march, arrived at the border of Ukraine after a two-week journey from The Hague. Their next destination is Kyiv.

Completion of the First Phase of Mission Kyiv

According to Ksenia Negrutsa-Hodska, the founder of the charity fund Netherlands for Ukraine, this journey holds deep symbolic significance.

“We stand here, at a border that has profound symbolic meaning in this project. We are completing the first, extremely important phase of Mission Kyiv — the journey from The Hague to the eastern border of Europe. At the same time, we are beginning a new phase — the continuation of this mission by Ukrainian veterans, who will carry it further, all the way to Kyiv”.

The march is intended to remind the world that the war in Ukraine is not just news headlines, but daily stories of real people fighting the battle of good against evil. The participants walked hundreds of kilometers to convey this message to the international community.

The Goal of the Initiative — Support for Ukrainian Veterans

The initiative started on June 2 from The Hague. The main goal is to raise 100,000 euros for medical assistance, rehabilitation, and psychological support for Ukrainian veterans and their families. Ksenia Negrutsa-Hodska also expressed gratitude to Robin Imthorn, who has been the driving force behind the team and partners throughout the initiative. She emphasized that the participation of each individual is not only support for Ukraine but also an example of true humanity.
