Ukraine Faces a Difficult Choice
According to the head of state, Ukraine currently finds itself in a situation that requires making extremely complex decisions. Zelensky stressed that what is at stake is not only strategic partnership but also dignity, freedom, and justice for every Ukrainian. The President warned that if the wrong choice is made, Ukraine could lose a key partner or experience the harshest winter with serious risks to its statehood.
“Either the loss of dignity or the risk of losing a key partner. Either the difficult 28 points or an extremely hard winter – the hardest – and further risks. A life without freedom, without dignity, without justice. And for us to believe those who have attacked twice already,” the President of Ukraine stated in his address.
Diplomacy and Unity – Government Priorities
The President emphasized that Ukraine continues to work calmly with America and other partners, seeking constructive solutions. Zelensky highlighted that the Ukrainian side will not allow accusations from the enemy regarding the disruption of the peace process or unwillingness to engage in diplomacy. He assured that in any negotiations, the priorities will remain the dignity and freedom of citizens, which are the foundation of the country’s independence, sovereignty, and future.
The President stressed that the efforts of the Ukrainian government are aimed at achieving peace so that the war ends with Ukraine’s victory, not its disappearance as a state or the destruction of peace throughout Europe.
Zelensky called on politicians, citizens, and all Ukrainians for unity, emphasizing that the parliament and government must work effectively together. He urged everyone not to forget who the real enemy is and to act collectively for the sake of peace, dignity, and freedom of Ukraine.
