30 Attack Drones Shot Down in Kyiv During Air Alert

The operational situation in Kyiv as of the morning of April 13 shows significant activity of hostile air attacks. Over the past day, air alerts were declared three times in the capital, with a total duration of about four hours.

During the night of April 13, 30 enemy drones were detected in the airspace of Kyiv and its surroundings. Of these, 19 were shot down by air defense forces, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties or destruction in the city as a result of the Russian air attacks.

According to information from the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of April 13, the enemy launched an attack with 55 Shahed-type attack drones and several imitation drones of various types from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk – Russia.

The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. As of 8:30, it has been confirmed that 43 Shahed-type attack drones were shot down in the north, south, and center of the country, and an additional 12 enemy imitation drones were lost without negative consequences.
