Support for Ukraine’s Territorial Integrity

During the joint meeting, the leaders of the Coalition of Willing unanimously condemned any attempts to forcibly change state borders. The participants reaffirmed their support for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty and emphasized the need to address key issues in a trilateral format involving Ukraine, the USA, and the Russian leader.

“It was very helpful. We continue to coordinate our common positions. There is clear support for Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty. Everyone agrees that state borders should not be changed by force. Everyone supports that key issues should be resolved with Ukraine’s participation in a trilateral format: Ukraine, the USA, and the Russian leader,” wrote Volodymyr Zelensky on social media.

Prospects for Security Guarantees for Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the historical significance of the USA’s readiness to participate in establishing security guarantees for Ukraine. The President highlighted that these guarantees should be practical, ensuring protection on land, in the air, and at sea, and should be developed with active involvement from European partners.

Zelensky also noted that the parties discussed ways to achieve a swift cessation of hostilities and to develop a common vision for a future peace agreement that should be fair, prompt, and effective.

During a press briefing with Ursula von der Leyen, the Ukrainian President announced that topics for an upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump, scheduled for August 18 in Washington, are being determined in Brussels.
