Court Selects Preventive Measure for Ruslan Magamedrasulov in Closed Session

On July 22, a court hearing began in Kyiv regarding the selection of a preventive measure for Ruslan Magamedrasulov, an official of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. The process is taking place in a closed session after the prosecutor and lawyers submitted a relevant motion, which was granted by the judge.

NAKO Official Under Suspicion

Ruslan Magamedrasulov heads the interregional department of detectives at NAKO, which coordinates the agency’s activities in the frontline Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the official is suspected of establishing contacts with representatives of the Russian Federation and assisting his father in organizing illegal trade with the Russian Federation. At this time, there have been no public comments or official statements from Magamedrasulov himself.

The Security Service claims that the official “has contacts with representatives of the aggressor country and helps his businessman father conduct illegal trade with the Russian Federation.”

Widespread Searches at NAKO and Anti-Corruption Agencies

On July 21, employees of the Security Service, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Office of the Prosecutor General conducted about 70 searches related to employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Additionally, inspections also took place at the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation is ongoing, and further developments regarding Ruslan Magamedrasulov’s case are expected soon.
