According to a statement from the Danish Ministry of Defense, the new support will include air defense, artillery, and financial assistance to the Ukrainian Air Force. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized the importance of continuing substantial support, stating:

“The security situation is evolving rapidly. Therefore, it is extremely important for Denmark to continue its substantial support for Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, Denmark has been one of the leading countries in donor efforts. With this 25th package of donations, we underscore our support for Ukraine in both the short and long term”

.

It is worth noting that at the end of November, the leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Finland agreed to enhance support for Ukraine, including providing more ammunition. In December, the Danish government held consultations with the Foreign Policy Committee to discuss the transfer of military equipment to Ukraine. According to information from the Ministry of Defense, Denmark has decided to allocate additional funds for the procurement of military equipment, particularly within the Industrial Fund established to ensure new defense technology for Ukraine with the involvement of the Danish defense industry.

As part of this initiative, plans are also in place to procure over 200 CV90 armored vehicles, of which 40 are designated for Ukraine.
