The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has announced the death of Member of Parliament Volodymyr Moroz at the age of 57. He was a member of the parliamentary group “Restoration of Ukraine,” which included some parliamentarians from the banned party “Opposition Platform – For Life.”

Profile and Political Activity of Volodymyr Moroz

Volodymyr Moroz was an active participant in the political process and was elected as a Member of Parliament from electoral district No. 59 in the Donetsk region representing the political force “Opposition Platform – For Life.” In his activities, he focused on issues related to energy and transportation. In particular, Moroz was elected as the head of the subcommittee on electricity and electricity transportation in the Verkhovna Rada, working in the committee on energy and housing and communal services.

Currently, the majority of his electoral district, including the cities of Vuhledar, Novohrodivka, and Selydove, as well as the Volnovakha and Mariinka districts of Donetsk region, remain under the control of the Russian Federation, complicating the situation regarding his mandate and life.
