‘Ukrzaliznytsia’ warns passengers about possible changes in train operations due to damage to railway infrastructure in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region, which occurred on the night of September 14.

Damaged Infrastructure and Transfer Organization
As a result of the emergency event in the Fastiv district near Kyiv, railway tracks and infrastructure facilities were severely damaged. Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that specialists from the regional administration, together with ‘Ukrzaliznytsia’ employees and other services, are working promptly to eliminate the consequences.
‘A transfer for passengers of train 73 Kharkiv – Przemyśl to Kyiv has been organized: the first part by bus, the rest later by train, which departed on a different route. Three women received medical assistance for acute stress reaction,’ Kalashnyk reported.
Schedule Changes and Delay Warnings
In connection with the incident, ‘Ukrzaliznytsia’ has implemented temporary changes in the train schedule, including organized regular suburban train services towards Boyarka. Due to track damage, some trains may experience delays of 2–3 hours as they travel on detour routes. Passengers are urged to closely monitor schedule updates on the official resources of the carrier.
The company emphasizes that rescuers, railway workers, and other emergency services continue to work on restoring operations and returning trains to their usual routes.
Local residents reported hearing about ten explosions from different directions around 11:30 PM on September 13 in the settlements of Hlevakha, Vasylkiv, and Kalynivka. In the Vasylkiv district, witnesses recorded a fire. Despite this, an air raid alert was not declared in the Kyiv region.
