Family of Animal Volunteers Killed in Enemy Attack in Kyiv

As a result of a missile attack by the Russian Federation, a family of animal rights activists was killed in Kyiv, reports the Kyiv City Military Administration. Several other people were also injured and residential buildings were destroyed in the shelling in the Shevchenkivskyi district yesterday.

Death of the Family of Animal Volunteers

According to Timur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, a mother and son, who were active participants in the volunteer movement for animal care, were killed in the airstrike.

“The mother died two days before her birthday, which she was unable to celebrate,” — Tkachenko noted on social media.

According to social media reports, several members of the family of animal volunteers lived in the affected house in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The missile strike killed the mother and son. It is also known that in the neighboring Sviatoshyn district, another Russian drone precisely hit a residential building, resulting in injuries to a brother and sister and their father. They are currently in the hospital, and their condition is assessed as stable.
