Involvement of Large Businesses in Creating an Accessible Environment
The initiative has been supported by well-known companies such as the ANC pharmacy chain, Nova Poshta, and the Sens establishments on Khreshchatyk. The management of these businesses has confirmed their readiness to collaborate on implementing accessibility solutions aimed at making the city more accessible for all categories of citizens.
“We have signed memorandums of cooperation with major businesses and networks in the capital. ANC pharmacies, Nova Poshta, Sens on Khreshchatyk. Together, this amounts to hundreds of locations across the capital. The owners are ready to set an example for change and jointly expand the accessible environment,” wrote Timur Tkachenko.
Priority – Central Route of the Capital
According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, detailed monitoring and assessment of the level of accessibility will take place at each location as part of the project implementation. The main focus is on the central part of Kyiv – the area between the Main Military Hospital, Independence Square, and the Central Railway Station. This route will become part of the flagship project of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, “Movement Without Barriers.”
With the involvement of large businesses, it is expected that hundreds of locations in Kyiv will serve as examples of accessibility and openness for people with diverse needs.
