This is reported by Kyiv24
In Kyiv, at the corner of Frolivska and Prytytsko-Mykilska streets, in the historical part of Podil, the dismantling of the Weaving Workshop building has commenced. The facade of the structure has been covered with decorative scaffolding featuring an image that mimics the real facade, although demolition work is already underway behind it.
Dismantling Under the Guise of Restoration
Information about the start of the work was made public by the well-known Kyiv heritage protector Dmytro Perov. According to him, since the beginning of the week, the building has been wrapped in a dense construction tarp, and characteristic sounds of demolition can be heard from inside. There is active removal of historical bricks from the courtyard of the former prosthetic and orthopedic factory, and the beams of the inter-floor ceilings are being stacked in the yard.

Official Version — “Facade Restoration”
As the activist notes, a notification about the “facade restoration” of this building was previously submitted to the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection of the Kyiv City State Administration. However, the actual work on site raises concerns among the public regarding the preservation of the historical monument.
The Weaving Workshop building is an important part of the historical architecture of Podil and holds significance for the cultural heritage of the capital.
