Kyiv to Update Video Surveillance System

The municipal enterprise “Informatics” has initiated a large-scale update of the street video surveillance system in the capital. More than 48 million UAH has been allocated in the city budget for this purpose. The implementation of cutting-edge technologies is planned for specific areas of the city, particularly near the stations of the Kyiv metro.
Three-Stage Competition for Contractor Selection
Information about the open tender is posted on the electronic procurement platform Prozorro. The contractor selection will take place in three stages. The city plans to enhance control over facilities, buildings, and adjacent areas near the subway, ensuring the safety of residents and visitors to the capital.
New Data Collection Centers and Modern Equipment
According to the tender documentation, the project includes the creation of a data collection and storage center with two cloud platforms, as well as the organization of processing and information display centers. Additionally, the installation of modern video recording devices and networking equipment is planned to improve monitoring efficiency.
All re-equipment work is expected to be completed by the new year, with the total cost of this system exceeding 48 million UAH for the city budget.
The modernization of the video surveillance system will enable the city to respond more quickly to emergency situations and enhance public safety.
