Details of the Attack and Government Response
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of November 19, Russian troops launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, using 476 strike drones and 48 missiles of various types. The main targets were Lviv, Ternopil, and Kharkiv regions.
Russian troops regularly attack Ukrainian regions using strike drones, missiles, guided aerial bombs, and multiple launch rocket systems. The Russian leadership denies involvement in targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure, despite numerous civilian casualties and the destruction of residential buildings, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy, and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these attacks as war crimes of the Russian Federation, emphasizing their targeted nature.
