A fire broke out in a high-rise residential building in Obolon, Kyiv, resulting in the evacuation of dozens of people by rescuers.

The Fire Ignited on the 17th Floor
On the evening of August 24, at 22:43, the operational coordination center of the capital’s State Emergency Service received a report of a fire in a residential complex on Baltiysky Lane in the Obolon district of Kyiv.
“On August 24 at 22:43, the operational coordination center of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv received a report of a fire in one of the residential complexes on Baltiysky Lane in the Obolon district of the city,” the statement said.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters determined that the source of the fire was located in the kitchen of one of the apartments on the 17th floor of a twenty-four-story building.
Evacuation of Residents and Investigation of Causes
During the firefighting efforts, rescuers evacuated 35 individuals from neighboring apartments and floors to prevent smoke inhalation and other potential threats to the life and health of the residents.
The fire was quickly localized and completely extinguished. Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes of the ignition. No information about any injuries has been reported.
