Strengthening the Aviation Component
Reserve officer of the Ukrainian Air Force Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi emphasizes that the aviation component of Ukraine’s defense must be qualitatively modernized and strengthened. According to him, this involves not only increasing the number of aircraft but also enhancing their multifunctionality – they must effectively operate at night against kamikaze drones and carry out air defense tasks in various directions.
Threat from the Russian Federation: Expert Analysis
Discussing the possibility of Russia using cruise bombs to attack Kyiv and the surrounding region, the expert noted that such threats are primarily informational manipulations. He stated that the existing air defense system significantly complicates the implementation of such plans by the enemy.
“It will be difficult for the enemies to do this because there is, at least, air defense.”
Thus, in 2026, strengthening defense capabilities and improving the aviation fleet remain a priority for ensuring the security of Ukrainian airspace.
