Maxim Krippa, an investor in the DIM development group, is launching an internal investigation concerning the company’s marketing director, Daria Bedya. The reason for this is the information that she personally made a bail payment of 44 million hryvnias for Oleksiy Chernyshov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine, who is suspected of abusing his official position and receiving illegal benefits.
Details of the Internal Investigation
The press service of Maxim Krippa stated that the fact of the bail payment became known only after inquiries from journalists. After receiving this information, the investor approached his partners with the initiative to start an internal investigation into the actions of the employee. It is emphasized that Krippa is not involved in the operational management of the company and does not have information about the activities of individual managers, especially if it does not fall within their direct responsibilities.
“We learned about this situation (regarding the bail payment – ed.) from your inquiry. After receiving it, Maxim Krippa approached the Group’s partners with the initiative to conduct an internal investigation into the personal activities of the mentioned employee,” the businessman’s press service reported.
Earlier, a journalistic investigation established that it was indeed Daria Bedya, the marketing director of DIM, who made the 44 million hryvnias bail payment for Chernyshov.
Reactions from Participants and Circumstances of the Bail Payment
Oleksandr Nasikovskyi, the founder and managing partner of DIM, stated in a comment that he was not informed about this initiative by Bedya and that she did not coordinate such a decision with the management. He also added that he is not acquainted with Chernyshov and has had no contact with him. According to Nasikovskyi, Daria Bedya decided to leave the company — she announced this last week, and her last working day at DIM is set for Friday, with the decision made personally by her.
Journalists attempted to obtain a comment from Daria Bedya herself. She promised to call back later, explaining that she felt “uncomfortable speaking,” and again promised to get in touch.
The largest portion of the bail — 66 million hryvnias — was paid by the company “Foravto Tor” from Dnipro, which was registered in April 2025 and specializes in wholesale trade of auto parts. The director and owner of the company, Eduard Martynenko, claims that he is hearing about the bail payment for Chernyshov on behalf of his company for the first time. He is also the director of another Dnipro firm, “Custombud,” which is engaged in the construction of residential and non-residential facilities and was established in June of this year.
More than 10 million hryvnias of the bail was paid by Oleksiy Chernyshov’s wife, Svitlana, whose savings, according to the official’s 2024 declaration, allowed her to pay this amount.
The total amount of bail for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov was 120 million 2668 hryvnias. According to the High Anti-Corruption Court, the amount was paid in full. Chernyshov previously stated that he was forced to raise funds for the bail as his personal accounts are blocked. The official’s defense is appealing the court’s decision regarding the bail.
On June 23, 2025, NABU and SAP officially informed Chernyshov of the suspicion of abusing his official position and receiving illegal benefits in a significant amount. This concerns the alleged illegal provision of land to a capital developer in Kyiv for the construction of a residential complex at a reduced price in exchange for discounts on apartments for the minister and related persons.
In total, Chernyshov became the sixth suspect in a major case regarding corruption schemes in the construction sector involving officials. He denies the validity of the suspicions and states that he has no intention of resigning.
