The Kyiv City State Administration is actively updating its vehicle fleet, despite financial losses of the transportation enterprise amounting to 1 million 589 thousand hryvnias in 2024.
This is reported by Kyiv24
The KCSA has 80 service vehicles, among which modern models such as the Toyota Highlander, Toyota Camry, and Toyota Corolla are assigned to 25 department directors. However, the available vehicles have proven insufficient for the administration’s needs.
New vehicle purchases for KCSA
The Department of Territorial Control of the KCSA has initiated a tender for the purchase of eight new Renault Duster SUVs. The winner of the procedure is the company LLC “UKRAVTO HOLOSIIVSKYI,” which is to supply the vehicles for a total amount exceeding 8 million hryvnias. Thus, each vehicle will cost the budget more than a million hryvnias.
At the same time, according to information on the dealer’s official website, a similar model is priced more than one hundred thousand hryvnias cheaper than what was proposed in the tender. Journalists compared the specifications of the vehicles and confirmed a significant difference in cost. Moreover, the cars are ordered for the 2025 model year, while models from a few years ago with low mileage can be purchased on the secondary market for several times less.
Equipment and cost-effectiveness issues
The purchased vehicles come with an extended package: cruise control, parking sensors, climate control, tire sets for both seasons, a multimedia system with a set of speakers, as well as a hybrid engine. Despite this, the dealer offers similar cars at a lower price. Journalists emphasize that the amount saved from just one vehicle could be spent on acquiring eight FPV drones or even a portable electronic warfare system.
“There are 80 service vehicles in the garage. Classy cars are assigned to 25 directors of KCSA: Toyota Highlander, Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla.”
