During January to November 2024, Kyiv Customs forwarded 815 reports of detected criminal offenses to law enforcement agencies during customs control.

Most Common Types of Smuggling
According to the capital’s customs office, the largest number of reports – 272 – was directed towards attempts to illegally transport narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, precursors, as well as counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The next most common type is the smuggling of cultural valuables, weapons, toxic and potent substances – 267 reports were received regarding such cases. An additional 204 instances involved attempts to illegally transport military goods and dual-use products across the border.
Other Detected Offenses
In addition to the main types of smuggling, customs officials recorded other violations. These include illegal operations with amber, smuggling of excise goods, and forgery of documents, seals, and stamps.
