The court is to determine preventive measures for those suspected of large-scale abuses in the capital

In Kyiv, law enforcement officials served suspicions to 22 officials of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), representatives of municipal enterprises, and entrepreneurs. According to the investigation, the total amount of damages from the criminal offenses they are suspected of exceeds 230 million UAH.
Who is suspected of embezzling budget funds
Among the suspects are the head of the KCSA apparatus, the former director of the municipal enterprise “ATP KCSA”, the deputy director of the Transport Department, heads of road infrastructure departments, as well as officials from several municipal enterprises and education departments of the Podilskyi, Dniprovskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi district state administrations of Kyiv. The list of individuals also includes directors of school institutions, engineers, public procurement officials, chief engineers of municipal services, and the head of the National Historical and Architectural Museum “Kyiv Fortress”.
Four entrepreneurs who supplied generators for the arrangement of school shelters, and another entrepreneur who conducted technical supervision over their repair, also received suspicions. Among the individuals is the director of a company that supplied plants for one of the capital’s municipal enterprises.
Next steps regarding the suspects
The prosecution has appealed to the court with requests for preventive measures for the suspects and their suspension from office. Each of them may be temporarily removed from performing their official duties during the investigation.
“Among those who received ‘letters of happiness’ from the prosecution is the head of the KCSA chairman’s apparatus, Dmytro Zahumenniy, who is suspected of embezzling nearly 1.3 million UAH. Along with him, the former director of the municipal enterprise ‘ATP KCSA’, Viktor Vlasov, is involved in the case.”
Law enforcement officials emphasize that the investigation is ongoing, and court decisions regarding the suspects are expected to be made in the near future.
