Residents of Kyiv are actively collecting signatures in support of an initiative to create a direct trolleybus connection between the residential areas of Vynohradar and Troieshchyna. This issue has become urgent, as both districts, which lack access to the metro, require improvements to their transport infrastructure.
This is reported by Kyiv24
A petition calling on local authorities to consider this matter has already been registered on the official website of the Kyiv City Council. The authors of the appeal note that a joint surface electric transport system would significantly ease the movement of residents between these sleeping districts, helping to address transport issues and reduce road congestion.
Urgent Need for Connection
According to the petition initiators, the presence of a trolleybus route between Vynohradar and Troieshchyna could save significant time for thousands of residents who travel around the city daily. Currently, without convenient connections, residents of both areas are forced to take long routes with transfers, which creates additional inconveniences.
Response from Authorities
The city authorities have not yet provided an official response to this initiative. However, the active actions of the community indicate that transport issues in the capital remain on the agenda, and residents hope for positive changes in the near future.
