Ballistic Strike on Kyiv: Consequences of the Missile Attack

The Russian occupiers have committed yet another war crime by launching a missile strike on the capital of Ukraine. As a result of the morning attack, debris from enemy missiles caused a number of fires in the Darnytskyi, Obolonskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of Kyiv. One person was killed, and three others were injured in the shelling.

According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, a fire broke out in a non-residential building in the Darnytskyi district due to the explosion. The building was also damaged, three parked cars were burned, and eight others were damaged.

Fires and Destruction in the Obolonskyi District

Several instances of fire were recorded in the Obolonskyi district. A fire erupted in a furniture workshop, leading to the flames spreading to a neighboring warehouse building. Additionally, the attack caused partial destruction of several floors of a five-story business center.

Consequences in the Solomianskyi District

In the Solomianskyi district, a fire was reported in an open area, as well as an ignition of the facade of a warehouse building. In total, rescuers reported three injured individuals, two of whom were hospitalized from the Darnytskyi district.

A total of 128 firefighters and 27 units of firefighting equipment were involved in the aftermath of the attack. The fires were extinguished. Later, the body of a deceased man was found in the Darnytskyi district, and his identity is currently being established.
