Distortion of Diplomacy

Zelensky noted:

“This is one of the reasons why Russia distorts diplomacy, why Russia does not agree to an unconditional ceasefire – they want to retain the ability to strike from the sea at our cities, at our ports”

. According to the president, the issue of a ceasefire at sea concerns not only free navigation but also overall security and the prospects for peace.

The head of state also emphasized that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has no intention of ending the war and is seeking ways to continue it with renewed strength. In this regard, the president considers it necessary to increase pressure on Russia, which includes supporting Ukraine’s defense capabilities and maintaining sanctions.
