До Києва прибули партнери з п’яти країн: про що домовилися

An official visit by high-ranking officials from five countries took place in Kyiv, and unexpectedly, Prince Harry arrived.

This is reported by Kyiv24

On Friday, September 12, the Ukrainian capital was visited by UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, as well as representatives from the governments of Germany, France, and Italy. During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of cooperation, support, and Ukraine’s security amid ongoing Russian aggression.

The UK Announces a Major Aid Package

As stated in a press release from the UK Foreign Office, the British government will allocate £142 million to support Ukraine this winter and next year. Of this amount, £100 million will be directed towards humanitarian aid for frontline communities, protection of vulnerable populations, and emergency assistance for those affected by Russian attacks. The remaining funds will be used for the restoration and protection of the country’s gas and energy infrastructure.

“I decided to visit Ukraine in the first few days of my role as Foreign Secretary because Ukraine’s security is vital to the security of the United Kingdom. I am acutely aware that the UK’s support is unwavering and stronger than ever, as we recognize the long-term threat to security and stability that Russian aggression poses not only to Ukraine but to all of Europe and to all of us here in the UK,” said Yvette Cooper.

Prince Harry’s Visit and Initiatives to Support Ukrainians

On the same day, Prince Harry unexpectedly arrived in Kyiv. During his stay in Ukraine, he, along with representatives from the Invictus Games Foundation, plans to develop new projects to support the rehabilitation of injured Ukrainian soldiers. Reportedly, these initiatives will aid in the recovery and integration of those affected among both military personnel and civilians.

In a media comment, Prince Harry emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine, stating:

“We cannot stop the war, but we can do everything possible to help the recovery process,” Prince Harry said in an interview with the publication.

This is not Prince Harry’s first visit to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion — in April, he visited the “Superhumans” rehabilitation center in Lviv, where he learned about programs assisting the injured.
