‘Kyivavtodor’ Plans Large-Scale Reconstruction of the Transport Interchange

The municipal corporation ‘Kyivavtodor’ has announced the search for a general contractor to carry out the major repair of the overpass located near the ‘Chernihivska’ metro station in Kyiv. The cost of the work, according to the tender documentation, exceeds 987 million hryvnias.
Main Works and Modernization
According to the terms of the tender published on the electronic platform Prozorro, the comprehensive repair includes the replacement of the bridge deck structures and the updating of engineering communications. It is also planned to carry out major repairs of the span structures and supports, modernize the lighting system, install new fencing, arrange modern tram tracks, and lay bicycle paths.
In addition, the list of planned works includes the repair of the approaches to the overpass and the improvement of the adjacent area of the transport interchange.
Project Timeline
The completion of all specified works is scheduled for the end of 2027. The reconstruction aims to improve the transport infrastructure of the area and enhance traffic safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
According to the tender documentation, for over 987 million hryvnias, plans include replacing the bridge deck structures and engineering communications, repairing the span structures and supports, modernizing the lighting, updating the fencing, arranging new tram tracks, laying bicycle paths, repairing the approaches to the overpass, and improving the area adjacent to the transport interchange. All these works are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027.
