Massive Drone Attack on Kharkiv: Consequences and Casualties

Last night, Russian occupiers launched a massive attack on Kharkiv using strike drones. As a result of the attack, numerous fires broke out in the city, and there were reports of injuries among the civilian population.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), the drone strikes targeted two civilian enterprises located in the Kholodnohirskiy district of the city. The attack resulted in three fires covering areas of 1000, 800, and 70 square meters. In addition to the industrial buildings, nearby private residential houses were also affected.

Casualties and Aftermath

According to preliminary data from rescuers, eight people were injured as a result of the shelling, including three children: a 9-month-old boy, a 7-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl. Medical personnel found signs of acute stress reaction in all the victims.

The cleanup efforts are ongoing. The SES has deployed 89 rescuers, 29 units of equipment, as well as canine and pyrotechnic teams. Additionally, municipal services of the city, consisting of 49 workers and 19 units of equipment, are also involved in the response efforts.

Law Enforcement Measures

The police of Kharkiv region have already opened a criminal case under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This indicates the seriousness of the situation and the intention of law enforcement agencies to hold those responsible accountable.
