More than 1500 criminal cases opened against Kyiv officials since 2019

In recent years, law enforcement agencies have opened over 1,500 criminal cases against officials of various levels who work in Kyiv or are connected to the city government. This data was released by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).

According to the report, from 2019 to the first quarter of 2025, law enforcement agencies initiated over 1,500 investigative actions concerning employees of the KCSA and its structural divisions. This indicates a high level of scrutiny regarding the activities of city officials and confirms that the fight against corruption in Kyiv’s government is ongoing.

Statistics and Key Indicators of Investigations

Of this number of criminal cases, more than 70 were opened just since the beginning of the current year. At the same time, during criminal investigations in this period, over 1,200 searches were conducted, tons of documents were seized, and more than 300 suspicions were handed to city government employees.
