The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has issued suspicions under the article concerning the receipt of illegal benefits to at least three members of parliament representing the ‘Servant of the People’ faction. According to media reports, these include Yevhen Pivovarov, Ihor Nehulevskyi, and Yurii Kisiel. The latter holds the position of deputy head of the faction and leads the transport committee of the Verkhovna Rada.

It has become known that the suspicions were announced under the article regarding ‘accepting a proposal, promise, or receiving illegal benefits by a public official.’ Along with these deputies, there are reports of a possible suspicion against Olha Savchenko; however, there are currently no official confirmations from NABU regarding the names of the suspects. Representatives of the ‘Servant of the People’ faction and the individuals involved have not commented on the situation.
The opposition party ‘European Solidarity’ has stated that the president bears political responsibility in this matter, emphasizing the involvement of his close associates.
Investigation Details and Law Enforcement Actions
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office has reported the exposure of a criminal group that included current members of parliament. According to the investigation, they received illegal funds on a ‘systematic basis’ for voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
At the same time, NABU reported that during investigative actions in parliamentary committees, employees of the State Protection Department (UDO) obstructed the actions of detectives. UDO, in turn, denied these accusations.
It is noted that according to the investigation, the members of the group received illegal benefits on a ‘systematic basis’ for voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
It is specifically emphasized that searches of MP Yurii Koryavchenkov are not currently being conducted, despite his name also being mentioned in the context of this case.
It is known that in 2019, the son of Serhii Shefir, who was then the first assistant to the president, worked as an assistant to Yurii Kisiel. Kisiel himself noted the professionalism of Mykyta Shefir but did not disclose details of their cooperation.
