A People’s Deputy Orest Salamakha Died in a Car Accident in Lviv Region

A People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the “Servant of the People” party, Orest Salamakha, died in a car accident in the Lviv region. This became known on January 25, when the information was disclosed by Lviv City Council member Ihor Zinkevych.

Circumstances of the Tragic Accident

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred in the village of Sokilnyky in the Lviv district. It is reported that Orest Salamakha was driving an ATV that was involved in the accident. After the incident, he was taken to the hospital, where medical staff fought for his life.

“People’s Deputy of Ukraine Orest Salamakha died in the hospital at 8:00 PM,” Zinkevych later wrote on his social media.

In addition to Ihor Zinkevych, the news of the parliamentarian’s death was also confirmed by People’s Deputies Danylo Hetmantsev (“Servant of the People”) and Oleksiy Honcharenko (“European Solidarity”).

Orest Salamakha was born in Lviv and was 34 years old. In 2019, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the 121st single-member electoral district.
