On the evening of July 24, a tragic road accident occurred in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, resulting in the death of Yaroslav Ruschyshyn, a People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the “Holos” faction, who also served as the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development.
Circumstances of the Fatal Accident
The road accident took place at 21:45 on the highway near the village of Babukhiv in the Ivano-Frankivsk district. It is known that the driver of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Yaroslav Ruschyshyn, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tractor moving in the same direction. The deputy died at the scene from the injuries sustained.
Contribution of Yaroslav Ruschyshyn
Yaroslav Ruschyshyn was a well-known public figure, an honorary senator of the Ukrainian Catholic University, one of the founders of the UCU Business School, and the founder of the Trottola sewing factory network. He also left a significant mark in the history of the country, being one of the organizers of the Granite Revolution and the student hunger strike on Independence Square in 1990.
On the evening of July 24, as a result of a road accident that occurred in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Yaroslav Ruschyshyn, a People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the “Holos” party and secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, died.
