Former midfielder of «Dynamo» and the Ukrainian national team, Oleksandr Aliyev, was detained by the patrol police while driving a Mercedes. A blonde woman was also in the vehicle with him.

Clarification from the Patrol Police
Shortly after the detention, the Kyiv Patrol Police published details of the incident that occurred in the Solomyanskyi district on social media. The law enforcement officers reported: «While patrolling Chokolivskyi Boulevard, inspectors stopped the driver of a Mercedes for violating traffic regulations. While communicating with the patrol officers, the driver and the passenger used obscene language and behaved aggressively. They did not respond to the lawful request of the police to cease their unlawful actions. Furthermore, the driver exhibited clear signs of alcohol intoxication. The man categorically refused to undergo a sobriety test in accordance with the law and continued to disturb public order.
Administrative Materials and Court
The police reported that both detainees were taken to the police station to prepare the necessary administrative materials. The patrol officers drew up a detention report for the driver of the Mercedes, as well as a report under Part 1 of Article 130 (driving a vehicle while intoxicated); a report for petty hooliganism; and issued a ruling for driving in the public transport lane. For the female passenger, a detention report was prepared, along with a report for petty hooliganism, as well as a ruling for appearing in public places while intoxicated and for making a knowingly false call to emergency services, as the woman called an ambulance but, upon the medics’ arrival, stated that she did not need their assistance.
The court will make a decision in this case. Oleksandr Aliyev, according to media reports, denied being under the influence of alcohol.
Sources note that 40-year-old Aliyev continues to play for the media football club IGNIS after retiring from his career. In 2023, he received a combatant’s certificate.
