In Kyiv, detectives from the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB) shut down seven underground casinos operating in non-residential premises in the Svyatoshynskyi and Desnianskyi districts of the capital.

Activities of Illegal Gambling Establishments
Law enforcement officials established that the administrators of these illegal establishments allowed visitors entry only after thoroughly checking the situation using surveillance cameras. This way, they ensured that there were no police officers or other regulatory authorities nearby.
“The administrators of the establishments allowed visitors in after confirming the absence of law enforcement through surveillance cameras,” the BEB stated.
Results of the Searches and Seized Property
During the searches of the illegal casinos, law enforcement officials discovered and seized equipment that the organizers used to provide access to online gambling. In total, detectives seized over 150 sets of computer equipment, approximately 40 units of specialized furniture, networking equipment, accounting records, household appliances, and other physical evidence. According to preliminary estimates, the total value of the seized items amounts to about 1.5 million hryvnias.
