A shooting occurred in the Podil district of Kyiv in the morning near a residential building. Law enforcement quickly detained a man who opened fire on a car in the courtyard of the residential complex.

According to the police, information about the incident came from residents who reported an unknown individual shooting at a moving vehicle. A investigative team was dispatched to the scene, where they detained a 35-year-old man. He explained that he used traumatic weapons due to a conflict with the driver that occurred the day before.

Legal Consequences for the Detained
As a result of the incident, the car owner was not injured. A criminal proceeding has been initiated under part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism with the use of weapons. Under this article, the suspect faces up to seven years in prison.
