Situation on the Front: Over 140 Battles, Main Pressure on the Pokrovsk and Lyman Directions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a significant escalation of hostilities on the front over the past day.

Intensity of Fighting and Enemy Losses

During the past day, the Ukrainian defense forces recorded over 140 combat clashes with Russian troops. The most active fighting occurred in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Toretsk directions. Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses on the enemy: approximately 1,090 occupiers were destroyed, along with three tanks, seven armored fighting vehicles, 47 artillery systems and multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense asset, as well as 70 operational-tactical drones and 83 units of automotive, special equipment, and fuel tankers.

“The enemy launched one missile strike and 33 airstrikes, using five missiles and 32 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also deployed 899 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,504 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas,” the General Staff reported.

Situation in Key Directions

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, 13 combat clashes were recorded. In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian units attacked nine times. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made two attempts to advance.

The most tense situation was observed in the Lyman direction, where 29 combat clashes took place. In the Siversky direction, Russian units stormed Ukrainian positions four times. In the Kramatorsk direction, 13 attacks were recorded. The Toretsk direction saw 19 combat clashes.

The Pokrovsk direction remains one of the hottest: Russian forces carried out 37 attacks in the areas of 12 populated localities. In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy assaults. The Huliaipole direction was subjected to an airstrike on the locality of Zaliznychne. In the Dniprovsk direction, the occupiers made one unsuccessful attempt to advance.

Thus, the enemy has shifted the main focus of strikes to the eastern and southeastern directions, employing a wide range of weapons and equipment. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
