The Flower Nursery in Malyutanka Has Become a Center for Corruption Schemes in Kyiv

Розсадник квітів став полем корупції

In the village of Malyutanka in the Kyiv region, there is the Kyiv decorative nursery “Teremky,” which is part of the municipal enterprise of the Kyiv City State Administration, “Kyivzelenbud.” Initially, this area was set up for growing plants that would later be planted in the capital. However, this nursery has now turned into a place that resembles a center for corruption schemes, as discussed in the latest episode of the YouTube project “In the Shadow of the Chestnut.”

Large-Scale Land Deals and Theft of Equipment

According to journalists, a large-scale operation is underway here to steal 40 hectares of land with green plantings, with the tacit consent of the management of “Kyivzelenbud.” Certain officials of the enterprise are involved in these corruption schemes, profiting even outside of Kyiv.

Journalists witnessed firsthand how worn-out municipal equipment is being stolen and written off at the “Teremky” nursery, which is then sold for scrap metal prices. Their goal is to conceal the embezzlement and gain additional benefits from the land plots and property of the enterprise.

Former employees of the nursery and activists opposing the land grab delicately discuss the situation and provide documents that confirm the scale of corruption.
