The festival promises to be a true celebration for the whole family. The main symbol of the event, according to Ukrainian tradition, is the pumpkin — it embodies abundance, prosperity, ritual power, and folk humor. This vegetable will be the central theme of all the festivities and activities at the celebration.
“In ancient Ukrainian traditions, the pumpkin is not just a vegetable — it is a symbol of abundance, prosperity, ritual power, and even folk humor. Therefore, at the Pumpkin Fest, the main character will be a bright, cheerful pumpkin,” the announcement states.
Festival guests can expect a packed program: fun contests, games, quizzes, and themed quests for children and adults. Throughout the day, folk groups, musicians, singers, and amateur bands will perform, creating the atmosphere of a true Ukrainian village.
Fair, Workshops, and Treats
Visitors will be able to attend a fair of folk artisans, take photos in themed photo zones with pumpkins, hay, and vintage tools, as well as participate in creative workshops for the whole family. The organizers have prepared treats featuring Ukrainian dishes with pumpkin and more, so that every visitor can enjoy home-cooked cuisine.
