Трамп порадив Путіну «завершити війну» замість тестувати ракети

U.S. President Donald Trump urged Vladimir Putin to end the war that has been ongoing for four years, instead of focusing on testing new weapons. Trump made this statement on October 27 while speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One during his Asian tour.

Trump Criticizes Russia’s Missile Testing Claims

Commenting on reports of the testing of the Russian cruise missile “Burevestnik,” the White House leader noted that the Russian Federation should concentrate on ending wars rather than demonstrating military might.

“He should end the war, a war that was supposed to last one week, and now it has been going on for four years; that is what he should be doing instead of testing missiles,” the U.S. president added.

Trump also emphasized that the United States possesses the world’s largest nuclear submarine, which is stationed near Russian shores, and regularly conducts its own missile tests without aiming for a range of 8,000 miles. According to the U.S. president, he finds it inappropriate for Putin to make such statements related to nuclear weapons.

Russia Announces New Tests of the ‘Burevestnik’

It is worth noting that the day before, Vladimir Putin visited the command post of the unified grouping of Russian troops, where he received reports on the results of combat operations and the testing of modern types of weapons. In particular, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, reported that on October 21, a test of the cruise missile with a nuclear power plant “Burevestnik” took place. According to the Russian General Staff, the missile allegedly flew about 14,000 kilometers, and Russia claims that this is not the limit of its capabilities.

When asked about the possible imposition of new sanctions against Russia, Trump briefly stated: “You will see.”
