Main Goals of Cooperation

As reported by the Ukrainian minister, the new group will serve as a platform for coordinating and developing joint initiatives in the field of drones. Key areas of focus include the integration of cutting-edge protection technologies, the implementation of innovative solutions, and the initiation of projects aimed at strengthening the defense of the population and critical infrastructure of both nations.

“We will integrate the latest protection technologies and initiate new projects that are intended to enhance the protection of our people and our critical infrastructure,” said the defense minister.

An important component of the working group’s activities will be joint training programs for Ukrainian and Polish military personnel. This will allow for more effective use of modern unmanned systems and foster interaction between defense ministries.

Signing of Agreement and Next Steps

The Polish Ministry of Defense had previously announced the preparation of an agreement for cooperation with its Ukrainian counterpart. According to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the parties plan to formalize an agreement that includes joint training on the operation of drones and the development of industrial initiatives in this field. The minister emphasized that such cooperation is vital for both nations, especially considering Poland’s extensive support for Ukraine during the aggression of the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Poland visited Kyiv along with a delegation from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Poland. The main topics of discussion included military cooperation, further support for Ukraine, and an assessment of the security situation amid the ongoing aggression from the Russian Federation.
