Зеленський анонсував рішення щодо нового голови свого офісу «найближчим часом»

Sanctions Against Weapons Manufacturers and Component Suppliers

According to the head of state, the sanctions are aimed at enterprises and organizations that supply critical foreign components necessary for the production of Russian missiles and drones. The President emphasized that the Russians continue to receive such parts by circumventing international restrictions, and it is in this area that Ukraine is increasing pressure.

“On Saturday night, Russia launched another massive strike against Ukraine: more than 400 drones and nearly 40 missiles of various types. The production of this weaponry would be impossible without foreign critical components, which the Russians continue to obtain in violation of sanctions. It is against such companies – suppliers of components and manufacturers of missiles and drones – that we are imposing new sanctions,” the head of state stated in a Facebook message on February 8.

Restrictions on the Financial Sector and Cryptocurrency Market in Russia

In addition to weapons manufacturers, another signed decree concerns Russian financial structures. Companies involved in the payment for the supply of parts for the production of missiles and drones have been included in the sanctions list.

The President also added that restrictive measures against structures that support the functioning of the Russian cryptocurrency market and mining are being coordinated with Western partners. It is expected that European Union countries will join similar actions as part of the twentieth sanctions package, which is anticipated to be approved by the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.

As a result of two massive waves of missile and drone attacks from Russia that occurred within less than a week, Ukraine’s energy system has suffered additional losses. This has complicated the situation in an industry that has already been under pressure from hostile shelling for a long time.
