Main Priorities of Ukrainian Diplomacy
Zelensky emphasized that the focus of the upcoming negotiations will be on strengthening the air defense system, increasing sanctions pressure on Russia due to the war, and expanding joint arms production with Western partners. Special attention will be given to political interaction and support for Ukrainian citizens affected by the war.
“We are also preparing meetings with some of our most capable partners in Europe – we are counting on good, strong decisions, and this is important. Our priorities are absolutely clear: air defense for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia for the war, our joint arms production with partners, political interaction, and real support for Ukrainians who are going through this full-scale war,” he said in his video address.
International Cooperation and Upcoming Meetings
Recently, the head of the Ukrainian state held consultations with the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom and Norway. After these discussions, Zelensky confirmed intentions to continue dialogue with international partners to achieve new agreements.
Furthermore, according to Western media, Volodymyr Zelensky plans to participate in the G7 summit, which will take place in France in June. It is expected that this forum will also address issues of further support for Ukraine from leading world powers.
