Joint Weapon Production with Denmark

Zelensky mentioned that Ukraine is actively developing international cooperation in the defense industry. For the first time in history, the construction of a joint factory has begun on Danish territory, which will produce components for Ukrainian missiles and drones. The president emphasized that this weapon has already demonstrated its effectiveness on the battlefield.

“During this war, Ukraine has reached a point where almost 60% of the weapons we have, which our soldiers possess, are Ukrainian weapons, and they are powerful weapons, with many advanced features,” Zelensky stressed.

Further Goals and Development of the Defense Sector

The president noted that despite the achieved results, the country still has a number of tasks ahead, particularly in the production of various types of air defense systems. Zelensky emphasized that the development of this sector is a serious challenge, but Ukraine has already proven its ability to compete with leading global weapons manufacturers.

In August of this year, the Ministry of Defense allowed over 25 models of Ukrainian interceptor drone complexes to be put into operation in the Armed Forces. Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal on July 18 to promptly finalize all necessary contracts to provide the Defense Forces with modern drones.
