Ukraine has sent a group of unmanned technology experts to Jordan to enhance the protection of American military bases. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the American publication New York Times, published on March 9.

US Assistance in Countering Iranian Drones
According to Zelensky, the United States reached out to Ukraine on Thursday, March 5, requesting specialists to combat drones. The following day, the Ukrainian team departed for Jordan to join in the protection of US military facilities in the Middle East.
“We responded immediately. I said: yes, of course, we will send our experts,” NYT quotes Zelensky.
At the same time, the White House refrained from commenting on the US request for assistance from Kyiv in the area of drone countermeasures.
Ukrainian Technologies for the Middle East
On the eve, on Sunday, President Zelensky noted that Ukrainian specialists would soon arrive in the Middle East to assist in countering aerial attacks from Iran. According to the head of state, Ukrainian experts will work directly on-site, and the relevant agreements are already in the process of being implemented.
On March 4, Volodymyr Zelensky also emphasized that Ukraine is ready to assist Middle Eastern countries in defending against Iranian attacks, and this support includes sending specialists to work on the ground.
Furthermore, according to the Financial Times, the US and one of the Gulf countries have shown interest in purchasing Ukrainian interceptor drones to neutralize Iranian “Shaheds.” In turn, Zelensky proposed cooperation to the countries in the region, which involves an exchange: Ukraine provides assistance in combating drones, and in return expects to receive missiles for air defense systems.
