Development of Ukrainian Industry and Defense Sector

The head of state emphasized the role of Ukrainian drone operators and companies engaged in the production of drones and missiles in his evening address. The President highlighted the dynamic development of the country’s defense industry, noting that its effectiveness is increasing.

“Thank you for the accuracy to the operators of Ukrainian drones, thank you to our manufacturers of both our drones and missiles. It is clear that the Ukrainian industry is gaining momentum.”

Additionally, Zelensky spoke about the information received regarding the actions of the Russian authorities towards other states. He emphasized the lack of friendly intentions from Russia, noting that the country is restructuring its own system to prepare for the possibility of waging war at any moment and against any opponent. The President stressed that only powerful sanctions from the international community and the development of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities can effectively counter these threats.

Budget Priorities and Support for International Initiatives

Zelensky also confirmed that Ukraine positively perceives U.S. initiatives for a ceasefire, but emphasized that it is Putin who is interested in continuing the violence. The President expressed hope that the global community will draw the appropriate conclusions, especially after the incident involving Russian drones invading Polish territory.

Zelensky underscored the importance of recognizing the danger posed by Russia not only to individual neighbors but to all of Europe. According to him, neglecting this threat could lead to an expansion of the conflict far beyond Ukraine.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that the draft state budget allocates at least 44.3 billion hryvnias for the development of domestic defense products, including ammunition, missiles, missile defense systems, aviation, and armored vehicles.
