Ukrainian Military Engaged in Fierce Battles for Rivnopillia and Yablukove — Frontline Situation

The Ukrainian defense forces continue to adhere to an active defense strategy in key areas, reported the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi. Despite the numerical superiority of the enemy, the armed units are repelling attacks on most sections of the front while also conducting search-and-strike operations, particularly in the Kupiansk and Siversk regions.

Tense Situation in the Pokrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Directions

According to Syrskyi, the Russian occupation forces are currently most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where about 40% of all combat clashes are taking place. The enemy is suffering significant losses. Additionally, the Russian army has increased the intensity of combat operations in the Zaporizhzhia region, using dense fog to penetrate between Ukrainian positions.

“The situation has significantly worsened in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions, where the enemy, taking advantage of its numerical superiority in forces and resources, has advanced during fierce battles and captured three settlements. The troops of the Southern Defense Forces are engaged in exhausting battles for Rivnopillia and Yablukove. Appropriate support measures are being taken. The aggressor has suffered significant losses from combined fire. Every meter of our land costs Russia hundreds of military lives,” Syrskyi stated.

Losses and Tactical Steps of the Parties

Furthermore, the Commander-in-Chief reported that Ukrainian military personnel are actively increasing the effectiveness of using domestically produced weapons. In particular, this includes the Neptune and Flamingo missiles, as well as rocket drones used to strike targets at long distances.

In recent days, Russian troops have intensified their attempts to break through to Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast, using light vehicles to maneuver through the southern outskirts of the city. At the same time, in the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defense forces have abandoned positions near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka.

According to analytical information, the Russian army has advanced north of Huliaipole, reducing the distance to the city limits to approximately 7 kilometers. The situation in these sections of the front remains dynamic and tense.
