Коли стабілізується ситуація зі світлом в Києві: у Верховній Раді дали прогноз

Restoration of electricity supply in Kyiv may take several days following extensive damage to energy infrastructure due to enemy attacks.

Restoring stable electricity supply in the capital and surrounding areas will require some time. This was reported by Serhiy Nahornyak, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services. According to him, important energy facilities, including the substations of “Ukrenergo” and regional energy companies, CHPP-5, CHPP-6, Darnytsia CHPP, Trypillia TPP, Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Station, and other substations were damaged during another combined attack by Russia on December 27.

Challenges in Recovery Due to New Shelling

Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attacks are significantly complicated by ongoing new strikes. Energy workers cannot fully begin repairs while the threat of repeated shelling exists, which prolongs the recovery process. At the same time, specialists are focused on restoring electricity to residents of the capital and nearby cities as quickly as possible.

“We must now understand the work of the energy workers, as it will take at least two to three days for them to stabilize the electricity situation in Kyiv and the satellite cities,” said Nahornyak.

Status of Recovery from Shelling and Civilian Casualties

On the morning of December 28, the State Emergency Service reported the completion of search and rescue and recovery operations at all facilities in Kyiv that were affected by the massive shelling. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, and 32 others were injured, including two children.
