Yulia Levchenko wins the Ukrainian Championship in women’s high jump

Yulia Levchenko has become the champion of Ukraine in high jump, confidently winning the final of the national championship among women.

Final Progress and Results of the Participants

In the decisive stage of the competition for medals, nine Ukrainian athletes competed. At the initial heights, Ruslana Muravska and Alevtina Dubil were eliminated. Anastasia Volkova finished her performance at a height of 1.75 m. Oksana Okuneva and Liliya Klintseva were unable to clear the bar at 1.83 m, while Irina Bezsmertna finished fourth, stopping at a height of 1.87 m.

The bronze medal was won by Yulia Chumachenko, who managed to surpass Bezsmertna based on additional criteria, even though both did not clear 1.87 m. The silver medalist was Kateryna Tabashnyk, who cleared this height but failed to conquer 1.90 m on three attempts.

Levchenko’s Triumph and Athletic Achievements

Yulia Levchenko was the only participant to clear a height of 1.90 m, securing her championship title. She continued her performance and cleared 1.95 m on her third attempt. After that, the athlete attempted to clear 2.00 m, but this height remained unconquered.

Yulia Levchenko was born in the city of Bakhmut (formerly Artemivsk) in the Donetsk region. She spent her childhood in Kyiv, where she attended an art school and participated in a dance club. She received her higher education at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine. Levchenko is a silver medalist of the World Championship and the champion of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, as well as a two-time champion of Ukraine.
