Reasons for Escalator Stops in the Capital’s Metro

According to the subway administration, there were 109 recorded instances of escalator stoppages in the Kyiv metro last week. The majority of these stops, 62 in total, were aimed at preventing passenger injuries. Additionally, passengers independently activated the “stop” button without objective necessity on 10 occasions, while another 34 stops occurred due to personal belongings getting caught in the escalator mechanisms.
