Overview of the Situation on Key Frontline Directions
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy launched six attacks towards Lyptsi and near Vovchansk, Zapadne, and Vovchanski Khutory. In the Kupiansk area, the invaders attacked ten times near Pishchane, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zahryzove. In the Lyman direction, 18 attacks were recorded towards Zeleny Dolyn, Karpivka, Novy Mir, as well as near Hrekivka, Torske, the Serebryansky Forest, and Ridkodub.
In the Siversky direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks near Hryhorivka and towards Verkhnokamianske. In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked positions six times near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and towards Kurdyumivka. In the Toretsk area, ten assaults were recorded near Krymske and Toretsk.
Hottest Areas and Enemy Losses
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defense forces halted 51 attacks by the aggressor near Novoukrainka, Zoria, Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Yelizavetivka, Dachenske, Lysivka, Udachny, Novoserhiyivka, Kotlyarivka, Andriivka, as well as in the directions of Novomykolaivka, Oleksiivka, Popovyi Yar, and Poltavka. In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions 12 times in the areas of Horikhove, Bahatyr, Zeleny Pole, Novopole, and Vilyke Pole. In the Orikhiv direction, nine attacks occurred towards Pavlivka, Novodanylivka, near Stepove, and Mali Shcherbaky. In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one assault by the enemy.
It is worth noting the intensity of combat operations in the Kursk direction, where 35 encounters occurred in one day. The enemy carried out 14 airstrikes, using 34 guided bombs, and conducted 213 shellings, including from multiple rocket launchers.
Estimated enemy losses for May 31 totaled 1230 personnel
According to Ukrainian defense forces, during the day, five tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 52 artillery systems, one multiple rocket launcher, 151 operational-tactical level drones, three missiles, 127 units of automotive equipment, and one unit of special equipment belonging to Russian occupiers were destroyed.
